Sony SLT-A33

A fun and surprisingly capable little camera which can be found for quite affordable prices. It makes a great platform for experimenting with the rather common A-Mount lenses, though its low light performance can be difficult to work around. An old APS-C sensor behind a pellicle mirror doesn't gather a ton of light. That said, for being an entry level SLT from 2010, it offers rather decent autofocus capabilities, and it has a quite servicable EVF. Ergonomically it's not my favorite camera, largely since it only has a single control dial, but as a predecessor of the modern Sony mirrorless camera, its menu system is familiar, so it's fairly easy to pick up. I found mine for 8000 yen on mercari. At that price I'd readily recommend it to anybody.
